Great question about Mommy Time.

This is a question I recieved and my reply. I thought it would be helpful to everyone.

Question:
Hi There.
I caught your ad on Craigslist and thought I’d inquire as to what you are doing. I’m a Mom that works full time, and have a very busy husband and there is never enough time for ourselves, much less myself. Can you give me more information as to what you are looking for as a commitment? Besides a babysitter being expensive, how do you ever know who you could leave in your home, with your kids??

If you read my blog www.2myMommyTime.com , you will read that I am starting an online child care exchange. There is no commitment. You join and then look at the information on other Moms in your area for compatibility. If you find one that you like, email, talk on the phone and set up a time to have her watch your children. The children go to her home. You then owe the same amount of hours to someone else. You don't have to exchange with the same Mom.
How do you know if you can leave the children with a stranger? Good common sense, communication and the background check we did upon registering.
I drop off my 5 year old son at birthday parties all the time. I don't know these people. But if I felt funny, I would take him home.
If you showed up at someone's home and it felt weird, go home. No apologies needed. They are your children. But, I bet most of the women are pretty much like you, small children , busy lives and need some time off. I also know that after paying for a sitter, the night out with my husband just got very expensive.
